Above All Real Estate Services is locally owned and operated by James F. Clark III, he is the only licensed mortgage loan originator and handles all of the day to day operations of the company. When you choose Above All Real Estate Services, you are choosing James.
James was born in Newport Beach, CA and grew up in Orange County, CA where he graduated from high school. In 1984, he came down to San Diego to attend UC San Diego where he graduated with a degree in Economics in 1989. He has lived continuously in Carlsbad, CA since his days at UC San Diego.
James founded Above All Real Estate Services in November of 2008, right as the financial markets were crashing and commercial banking significantly pulled back on lending in the Real Estate Market. James was able build his customers base with referrals, recommendations and word of mouth advertising from his past customers. This client focused marketing strategy is at the very core of the success that James has seen since he started Above All Real Estate Services.
Above All Real Estate Services is licensed with the Department of Real Estate (DRE) broker license #01905024, and also is registered with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) as #833123. Starting on January 1st of 2010, it is now a California state requirement that every company must hold the proper state license along with being registered with the NMLS in order to broker mortgage loans in the state of California. As a Mortgage Broker licensed with the Dept. of Real Estate however, James is held to higher standards than many other financial institutions that offer the same services. James was required to pass additional testing, pass the FBI background checks and provide his personal credit reports to the NMLS and DRE. As a licensed Mortgage Broker, James is responsible to give solid advice to his clients.
The owner of Above All Real Estate Services, James F. Clark, built his past success on creating long lasting personal relationships with his customers and this philosophy is still at the very core of his current business model. James strives to have ‘one on one’ personal meetings with each and every one of his customers and is often right there at the closing with his customers reviewing the final loan documents and the escrow closing statement checking for accuracy and errors. It is this passion and dedication to meeting the customer’s needs that results in the referrals, recommendations and word of mouth advertising that has made both James and Above All Real Estate Services a success in today’s financial markets.
Get to know James:
James started working in the banking industry when he was 16 working for Keystone Bank in Westminster, CA where his father helped him get his first job. Throughout high school and college, he held various jobs in the restaurant and construction industries.
He went back to work in the banking industry in 1989, and was introduced into the loan origination industry at First Federal Savings & Loan, where he worked for several years until the bank shut down the office in San Diego.
James then worked for several different mortgage brokers throughout the following eight years, until in 1999 he went out on his own and started San Diego Mortgage Group with two other partners. He helped to grow that business from October of 1999 until October of 2008 when he left the company and decided to start a new company focused on efficiency and cost controls.
After three successful years with his new company, James decided to incorporate his business and Above All Real Estate Services, Inc. was formed in September of 2011 and has been in operations since that time.
